Website Blog Update

It’s been an adventure expanding into our own website and getting the blog worked out over on it. I apologize for taking so long to update everyone here on WordPress.com about what we’ve been doing! I’ll go stand in the corner once I finish this post.

With the weather we’ve had here in the Houston, TX area lately, I’ve been having quite a bit of fun with soap and remembered a good soaping joke I’ve enjoyed over the years. Since I like to laugh and make others laugh also, I linked to on the blog. Can you spot my soaping personalities? I really hope that it makes everyone else laugh as much as it has made me! I found more than one of my friends on the list too.

We also got the pictures to load finally of the green and white Honeysuckle soap for our favorite Southern Belles in Jackson. Also uploaded recently were the beautiful pictures by David Vu with a review of working with him and a fun little soap project we did for some local scouts. The soap medallions were so cute! David’s pictures are appearing all over our site now and he does such wonderful work that I’m still thanking him over and over. Check it out and tell us what you think.

To be published later this week is the Peppermint Soap project results. I was excited how well this one came out and think you’ll love the look too! I’m still proofreading the post and getting the pictures loaded but it should be ready by Friday at the latest. I had a lot of fun playing with the textures and colors for this soap and would love to hear your feedback on it too! We got a great one of a kind look to these bars and it will probably go into our regular stocks.

I’ll see you on the blog at http://www.texaspioneercreations.com/blog or on our Facebook page. Hope your week goes well and your showers are fun too! For those who had been receiving updates by following us through the WordPress.com setup, I have been told that the “fix” that subscribed you to our regular website was broken and they unfortunately lost the names. Please help me keep my sanity and re-sign up once you hit the blog. My family greatly appreciates your help in keeping me from going nuts at the computer! lol

Happy Washing!

Soap Blog Update

It’s been a bit of an adventure incorporating the blog into our stand alone website, I must admit.  I’m crossing fingers and hoping my picture loading gremlins have left me in peace for a little while so I can finish adding all the photos to the shopping section & the last blog post over there.  Besides the pictures, everything else has been reported to work.  Hooray!

At this hot second, you can see the Pumpkin Soap cooking in the crock, its beautiful color, and laugh at the descriptions of the color morphing at http://texaspioneercreations.com/pumpkin-soap/ I’ll be working again on loading those pictures of the cut soap today so you can see it.  This was a fun soap and I think we’ll definitely keep it on our fall/winter soaps.  The bubbles are great and it has such a smooth, creamy feel – think I’m in love!  There are still a few bars available on the website so don’t miss out.

We also debuted our holiday gag gift for those who are searching for the perfect present and want to help a good cause.  Our Little Stinkers soaps, http://texaspioneercreations.com/soap-for-little-stinkers/, has proven to bring quite a few good laughs for everyone and we are donating $1.50 of every purchase of these “floaters” to a local food bank & job placement services facility.  Know someone who has been a bit of a stinker this year?  This is way better than coal and smells great too!  I won’t tell anymore hints about this gag gift, you’ll have to go read for yourself and leave me your thoughts on the blog.

Join us over on the new location of our blog and make sure to follow us for the newest updates.  We are also on Facebook and would love for you to find us over there also.  I look forward to seeing you on both sites!

Happy Washing!
